Established in 2022 and based in Kathmandu, the Himalayan Health, Research & Education Foundation (HHREF) convenes a Think Tank that turns evidence into action. We focus on health, education, and environment—advancing public well-being, skill-based learning, and environmental resilience in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
What the Think Tank Does
- Generate quality evidence: rapid reviews, policy briefs, and implementation research
- Policy mapping & analysis: identify gaps, options, and pathways to scale
- Dialogue & advocacy: roundtables, stakeholder consultations, and public forums
- Knowledge management: curate and translate insights for decision-makers
- Innovation scouting: surface, test, and support context-fit solutions
Who We Support
We assist and collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Forests and Environment, their provincial and local governments, universities, and civil society partners—always emphasizing people-centered development and GEDSI (gender equality, disability, and social inclusion).
