HHREF Inaugural Award 2026 - Terms & Conditions, Nomination Agreement & Consent
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the HHREF Inaugural Award 2026, organised by the Himalayan Health and Rural Empowerment Foundation (HHREF). By submitting a nomination, either as a nominee or nominator, you agree to comply with the following:
1. Eligibility
- The award is open to individuals and institutions working to create measurable positive impact in rural Nepal.
- Focus areas include: Public Health, Education, Environment.
- Nominees must be at least 18 years old or a legally registered institution.
- Nominees must have ongoing programs or initiatives that demonstrate real and verifiable results.
- HHREF board members, judges, and their immediate family are not eligible.
- Individuals must be Nepali citizens, and institutions must be locally based and registered with the relevant authorities in Nepal.
2. Submission Requirements
- All information submitted in the nomination must be accurate, truthful, and verifiable.
- Supporting documentation may be requested by HHREF during the evaluation process.
- Nominations must be submitted only through approved HHREF channels (QR code link, website, or email).
- Each nominee may be nominated once; duplicate or fraudulent submissions may be disqualified.
3. Timeline
- Nominations Open: December 5, 2025
- Submission Deadline: January 28, 2026
- Late submissions will not be considered.
- HHREF reserves the right to extend deadlines or modify the schedule if necessary.
4. Evaluation & Selection
- A selection committee appointed by HHREF will review all eligible nominations.
- Decisions will be based on: Impact, sustainability, innovation, measurable outcomes, and contribution to underserved communities.
- The committee's decision is final and cannot be contested.
5. Award & Recognition
- Winner(s) will receive 100,000 NPR and will be responsible for any applicable local taxes associated with the award.
- Award Ceremony will be held on Nepali New Year 2082 (April 14, 2026).
- Funds must be used exclusively for work aligned with the nominated initiative.
- HHREF may request updates on how funds are utilized.
6. Publicity & Content Rights
By submitting a nomination, you grant HHREF the right to:
- Use submitted information (excluding personal contact details) for promotional, research and reporting purposes,
- Publish names, photos, project details, and testimonials in media, reports, and events.
Nominee grants HHREF permission to contact them for verification or publicity purposes.
7. Data Privacy
- Personal information collected will be used only for award evaluation and communication.
- HHREF will not sell or disclose personal data to third parties without consent, except where required by law.
- Data may be stored securely in digital systems managed by HHREF and its authorized partners.
8. Conduct & Integrity
- Any nomination found to include false, plagiarized, or misleading information will be disqualified.
- HHREF may revoke the award if misconduct or misuse of funds is discovered after selection.
- All participants agree to uphold integrity, transparency, and ethical standards.
9. Changes to the Program
- HHREF reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any part of the award program at its discretion.
- If changes occur, reasonable efforts will be made to notify participants.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a nomination, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms,
- You are authorized to provide the information submitted,
- The nominee consents to being nominated (if you are nominating someone else).
Nominee Consent Agreement
The nominee confirms that:
- All information provided is accurate and truthful to the best of their knowledge.
- They consent to be evaluated as part of the HHREF Inaugural Award 2026 process.
- They agree to participate in interviews or site visits if requested by HHREF.
Consent to Use of Information & Media
- The nominee grants HHREF permission to use photos, organizational logos, project materials, and media content submitted for award evaluation, publication, and promotional purposes.
- The nominee acknowledges that any publicly shared information may appear in printed and digital platforms including reports, news media, websites, and social media.
Right to Withdraw
- The nominee has the right to request removal or correction of personal data at any stage prior to the award selection.
- Withdrawal from the process will result in automatic disqualification.
Privacy Notices
- HHREF respects the privacy of all applicants and follows secure handling procedures for personal information.
- Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill evaluation and reporting requirements.
