HHREF Awards
Every year, the Himalayan Health, Research, and Education Foundation (HHREF) recognises three individuals or institutions who have contributed to public health and education with innovative initiatives or ideas. This is the first award which will start from 2026 to recognise excellence.
Cash award: NPR 100,000 to one nominee with the best results from innovation in health, education or environment. Additional non‑cash recognitions may be conferred to other outstanding nominees.
Focus: Impact on rural communities in Nepal.

Nominations should include a description of the nominee's outstanding contributions to public health, education or environment in rural Nepal.
Submission can be from an individual or an institution.
Anyone whose contribution impacts rural communities in Nepal in the areas of health, education or environment is eligible.
All submissions will first be reviewed and shortlisted by the HHREF technical team.
The final shortlist will then be reviewed by our think‑tank group and subject‑matter experts to select one individual or institution for recognition.
